carson loves school. sincerely. except his disappointment that homework wouldn't start until the second week of school, it is "awesome." he's been totally excited about this step, with the first and only hesitation coming upon our arrival to the school for a one-on-one student/teacher assessment when all the other kids were out at recess -- he tightly squeezed my hand and drew quite close to my side as he watched them.
but he loves it, and i only had to swallow the lump in my throat a couple of times as i left him that first day. at least these pics of his first day of school are reassuring that he's not SO grown up yet...

ok - he looks SOOOO tall!!!!!!!!! and grown up! i know - that first day can be tough to let them go. . . . but it actually is tough most of the year. i love having them home in the summer. anyway - way to go carson (and mom) on the first day of school.
Yeah for Carson! Hope you have fun having a little more quiet portion of your day. Tara starts 1st Grade. She will be gone from 8:22 to 3:55 (yes I am counting minutes). I don't know what Morgan and I are going to do all day.

Yeah!! Carson looks so happy! What an awesome kid. I just love him.
And if the world were perfect, we would have a kindergarten class just for all of our cute kindergarten kids & we'd choose the perfect teacher & no other kids would be allowed in. Wouldn't that be fun? You arrange it, k?
