walking dictionary

today, layla: "mom, i know what 'zero' means. i know because i'm a Smart."
how, exactly, should i interpret that?

on a totally unrelated note: i can't be certain, but i vaguely remember using the word "dreadful" in casual conversation today. yikes. i'm considering the following: (1) wearing a 'nerd alert' sign on my forehead. (2) taking a vow of silence for a year. (3) embracing the jane austen within. (4) nothing.

I feel the same way when I use words like "comical" and "verbose." I think I'll wear the "nerd" sign.

I say nerdy things all the time, then I blame it on my dad, he always says nerdy things. But not to his face, he would feed bad.

totally embrace the jane austen within! i find myself saying nerdy things all the time and i can't ever think of anything to blame it on except that i am truly a nerd. :(

There is zero reason to feel dreadful about your vocab! :) Love it.
