saweeeet!!

i'd like to bear my testimony that there are modern-day miracles:
i am the beneficiary of an impossibly fast 3-week product turnaround from the u.s. passport office. which is actually quite timely, seeing as how i've already booked my airline ticket to sweden for 2 weeks from now.

what was that you just heard? oh, just a thousand-dollar sigh of relief emanating from my general direction.
mom & dad!! time with (big sister) nicol!! SWEDEN!!!!

I got one in 24 hours but I'll bet I had to pay a bit more than you did.

I'm so jealous! We were trying to go to Norway this year to visit my parents. Have a fantastic trip! And way to pull through Passport office - they do work!? :)

So jealous...and actually shocked that I wasn't invited. Seriously. Don't we do all our Europe trips together? Or did you already get my ticket. If so, then I apologize.

nan: honestly? 24 hours? i had no idea that was even an option. no, i went the old-fashioned snail-mail route and have thanked my lucky stars it all worked out.

jules: yep, in just a week now! to say that i'm excited is a major understatement. i haven't seen my parents in almost 2 years!!! can't wait.

trina: i'm soooo sad that i'm going to totally miss you & your fam, though. what a rotten deal.

emily: it should be super fun. paul keeps predicting that i get bored. who knows -- it IS a little weird going somewhere without the 4 most major peoples of my existence.

ali: oooh, let me know if you get to norway! i'd love to compare notes. i didn't even know your parents were there -- how long have they been gone?

sadie: yep, i got your ticket taken care of. meet me at the airport on, um, friday. they might give you some strange looks at the ticket office, but don't let them fool you. stand your ground. oh, and pack some swedish fish and rice krispies, cuz you're going to want them at some point (just a little insider info from a veteran european traveler).
