confessions of an expensive wife...

so, yesterday we finally bit the bullet and ordered a new couch for our living room. we had checked it out in the showroom previously, so i knew what to ask for when i called to place the order.

the helpful man on the other end took my information and told me the total cost, which was like $170 LESS than what we had figured. immediately, i blurted out, "oh, are you sure about that? i don't think you're charging us enough!"

paul, sitting nearby, was shaking his head, mouthing the word "nooooo!" then, finally, closing his eyes and smacking his palm to his forehead in defeat.

"really?" says the helpful man. "let me go check the price on the floor."

it turns out i was right. ugh. i'm probably the only human being on the planet who argues with a salesperson to pay MORE for something.

feel free to send paul your condolences and/or come over and sit on our couch and give over-the-top compliments about it...compliments that, if quantified, could be valued at roughly $170...

Too funny! Shouldn't they have still given you a discount??? I think they should've rewarded your honesty:)

I saw your striped wall when we were in Logan. wow. I love it.
