layla's really into doing her own hair lately, soliciting my help only to curl it. for those of you who know my oldest daughter personally, this is a shocker--she has spent her entire life wanting to do nothing with her hair. ever.
as evidence of her new change of heart, she has even modified her bedtime routine to include wetting down and brushing her hair. she parts it horizontally in the back of her head and brushes it all forward. then she carefully brushes the hair hanging in her eyes toward her ears, taking great care that everything (in whatever direction it's pointing) is "straight."
and, yes, the result is every bit as lovely a look as it sounds.
ANYways. tonight in her bedtime prayers, she included this sincere plea: "please help my hair to dry straight in the night."
i tried to hold in a laugh, but...is it wrong that i accidentally snorted?
