i'd accompany this post with some pics of the ultrasound, but let's be honest...they all look pretty much the same to the casual observer. (does that make me a bad mother?)
memorable moments of the exploration: her crossed ankles, her little attitude and disobeying the ultrasound tech's requests (already?!?! great. she and layla will be best friends), her face hiding under her upraised arms, her being all balled up, and her super-duper wiggle powers impressing even the ultrasound tech (i was just telling paul last week or so that this one's hyperactive). we couldn't get a good look at her face, just passing glimpses as she looked our way and mocked us before hiding again.
so, as far as i can tell, we have a shy, opinionated, wiggle-wormy baby girl on our hands. i bet she's a redhead. and i can't wait to meet her.

Hip Hip Horray! I need to call you soon!
Congrats! When's your due date?
Congrats, Brittney! A little buddy for Layla to play with and Carson to protect/torture! It will be so fun. You were right, too! I'm so impressed, because I've never had any inkling about the gender of my kids. Oh wait, probably because they've all been the same, so how would I know any different? I'm so happy for you! Congrats!
so exciting! hopefully she and layla will be the best of friends!
Yeah another girl! The Scotts love girls.
Awesome. You make cute girls.
WAHOO - i guessed right. how do the kids feel about it????
carson's response: "but i wanted a baby brudder!!"
layla's response: "i want some dora yogurt."
wildly successful sibling enthusiam.
yay!!! that is so exciting! sounds like she takes after you. :)
Awesome! I'm so excited for you Britt. I'm glad all is going well!
You were right on gender, now here's hoping for red hair!
Hmmm sounds like a redhead to me. Let's hope that she is one:)
how fun! any names in mind?
Oh how fun! And how nice everything went okay. I never really knew how many things could be wrong with a baby until they started checking everything.
no names yet; we're working on figuring out sleeping arrangements for the kids. but carson wants to name her "tractor." paul told him we'd consider it. that's a more generous response than i've gotten with some of my suggestions in the past...
LOL on naming her tractor. That is awesome.
I think tractor is perfect since I've always thought of Carson as "bulldozer." He has always just bulldozed his way over, around, through anything in his path. Yep, tractor sounds perfect unless that entails picking items up & shoveling them in her mouth.
