and, for your viewing pleasure, a closer look at the caliber of the mess...many games with many, and TINY, pieces:
legos are great for little boys...and babies are great for little girls:
a brain-child of carson's, which he gleaned from a curious george episode: a tall hat in which to store food, so when one gets hungry, one can simply reach up and gather food from the hat. brilliant.
an aerial view of said hats, revealing bags of carrot sticks:

carson, who had readied himself to go to a high school football game with his grampa, waited out on the curb for at least 30 minutes in anticipation. i saw him sitting out there, but when i came back with the camera to capture the moment, he was marching while waiting. ahh, the excitement of kids. love it.

I am laughing so hard at the bag of carrots in the hat. It is quite brilliant. I might even try it myself sometime.
of all the things to hide they chose carrots? wow, you have them trained well.
ah, Brit, you look so pretty! I'm miss that big, dimpled smile! Are you going to Richland any time soon(er or later)? I want Carson to introduce some of his great ideas to Gavin :-)
you have no idea how happy i am to see that mess. really- NO idea.
also - cute cute CUTE CUTE CUTE pics of your kids. all around.
I have no idea how to sum up how fun/hilar this post was...um, you look gorgeous, I love layla's bangs, I love the pic of Carson pacing whilst waiting and I LOVE Layla trying to close the prayer during Conference.
I can't tell you how many times I've been walking around thinking, I sure would like some food hidden in an oversized paper tophat right now. And in that moment Carson is going to be one happy kid. Brilliant.
what? you don't supervise your kids 24 hours a day? tsk, tsk.
you look beautiful britt. sers.
The hats are genius. You better get a patent lawyer on the phone.. STAT.
That gives a whole new definition to the phrase "brain food," doesn't it?
Sorry, I had to.
We have a puzzle book with about 6 different puzzles in it. Annie likes to dump them all out at once and it is so tricky trying to place them all back.
