Christmas Tree Hunt

It was a good one this year. The family Christmas tree hunt, that is. We found our tree directly on the trail, after about 5 minutes of "hiking" through, at most, an inch of snow.
Paul sawed it down and dragged it back to the truck...done in a matter of about 20 minutes, from start to finish. As a veteran of toting the kids on the annual tree hunt (which usually consists of an hour of trekking across the mountainside in knee-deep snow with cold, whining, tired kids only to finally saw down a mediocre tree just to get the dang job over with), this is an outstanding victory.
Because it was such a beautiful day and because Larry & Joyce plan ahead for a festive time, we built a campfire and ate hot cocoa and snacks, then headed home at our leisure.

All in all, it was a great day. And we have a great tree.

Fun, fun, fun! We do that, too. I hope some day we'll have as many grandkids as your in laws had there.
