My suspicion is high that this little girl-in-womb will be an Olympics-style gymnast. Just a maternal hunch based on nothing, really, 'cept a few bruised internal organs and some late-night acrobatics happening beneath the skin of my belly-turned-playground.
Regardless, I've got little girl stuff on the brain. My friend and I launched an etsy shop that goes along with this theme, involving darling (in our humble, yet highly accurate, opinions) retro/modern children's aprons: http://www.etsy.com/shop/DarlingSparrow
We'd love it if you came by... and even made a purchase or two, for your own little girls, or your nieces or granddaughters, or to have on-hand at your own house for when little neighborhood friends pop by for a drippy summertime popsicle.

Feeling too poor? Send your mom over to the shop so she can buy one for your daughter. Heh. Makes you jealous of my mom, doesn't it, having a daughter like me. But, c'mon, pom-poms? Rickrack? Grosgrain ribbon? Florals-with-stripes? Stop it. For cute.
Actually, Amanda and I have had some of these aprons at our houses for a couple of years now, and we love them sooo much. My girls wear theirs during dinnertime (make great bibs), craft time, baking experiments, art attempts, and dishwashing hour where the sink (read: floor) is filled to overflowing with bubbly suds. http://www.etsy.com/shop/DarlingSparrow
Okay. I'm done now.
