Addie turned 2 on Sunday. When someone asked her how old she was, she'd respond either "bear-day pesents" or "my bear-day tate [cake]". She was pretty excited about both.
This girl is a wild child. Independent and silly. Someone who is usually happy to do the right thing, but ONLY on her own terms and in her own timeline. A grinner, a runner, and an eater. A busybody and a budding photographer (see below).
We love you, Booster. Happy birthday.
p.s. The other morning when Addie woke up, she looked at me sympathetically, and said, "teenty twirl, mom" [stinky squirrel]. Our backyard is being terrorized by two squirrels, and I've been yelling at them lately. Heh. What squirrel-hatred am I teaching my children?!?!

Happy Bear day Addie.
What a cute little 2 year old she is...
Wasn't there someother creature hatred? Was is grasshoppers?
We are all God's creatures, Brittney.
I love 2-year-olds! That is almost my favorite age. I don't know why they call them the terrible 2's. I think 3 is bad :) She is so cute. I remember like it was yesterday waiting to see when you had her. Time just goes to fast. Happy Birthday Addie!
Yes, Amanda, it was totally grasshoppers. And I was hating them even MORE than the squirrels this mid-morning on my jog, as they were flinging themselves into my leg, one after another. Ugh.
So, yeah, I'd like to officially submit an order for a bunch of seagulls and the locust-eating miracle of pioneer yesteryear.
addie sure is a good eater:)
Hah! Trina, I'm glad you reminded me. That's the #1 reason I like her, you know. Basically her best feature. Chip off the ol' block, you know...
Britt, I'd just like to say that we also have a terrible squirrel problem at our house. I feel your pain. My kids yell "go Mama!" and "HIT 'em!" each time when I see a squirrel in the yard and run outside to throw rocks at it. Sadly (is it sad to admit I'm sad about this?), I always miss. I hate squirrels. But I love Addie and I love you!
Happy Birthday Addie!
Laters!
