Our baby Violet is getting so big! She weighed 12# at her 2-month appointment. Not too shabby. Sometimes (often) I sit and stare at her and am amazed at the picture of health a baby is. Kissy chubs everywhere. Smiles and gurgles and coos. Kicks and flailing arms that are a swing-and-a-miss toward the mouth. I can't get enough, and it's passing far too quickly.
She's had some digestive woes for the first few months of life, but I think she's starting to grow out of them. (Although I'm still staying far away from dairy for the next little while, just to be safe.) V has a smile that just lights up the world. And by "world," I of course mean our living room. Because we don't get out much some days. Which is okay.
This was her first run-in with the Bumbo. She liked it pretty well at first but hasn't liked it much since, and I'm guessing it has something to do with the below pic. Feeling a little head-squashed and claustrophobic, perhaps? I mean, look at those curled toes of hers. Stressed!
I find that I'm not in many pics these days (which is great by me) ... that is, until Addie gets behind the lens of the camera. Here she's documenting a makeup-less me, documenting a typical morning of kid-dom. Notice we're not in the kitchen. Because it probably had about 4 days' worth of dirty dishes stacked high. Priorities, people.
Life's pretty great. Especially when you've successfully shaved the mullet off your newborn. Ahhhh. Growing up can now progress unabashedly.
