so busy.

so very busy. sorry i've been m-i-a, but i'm afraid it must continue for a short while. life is great:

paul: working hard, sprained ankle is improving sloooooowly (but at least it's improving), a first-rate handyman around the house. looking into purchasing a commuter car to get to and from clearfield in a few weeks (anything's better than our gas-guzzler 4runner). watches all jazz games and "coaches" from the couch. kids look forward to his arrival after work something fierce--they'll even park out on the front porch for 20+ minutes, just waiting.

brittney: happy to inherit an old but fine-working piano from a neighbor, playing outside with kids in the gorgeous weather and loving every minute of it, painting in the kitchen (the end is in sight! pics forthcoming when it really is done), enjoying baby's consta-kicks and squirms, writing/editing/working every spare minute. tulips are starting to bloom! (i get so proud about flowers in my yard for some lame reason. makes it feel like a "real" home, i guess.)

carson: freshly buzzed head (he's cocky about not ever having to comb it), figuring out the world, loves running and jumping and being crazy in the springtime outdoors. has discovered games on sesame street websites and loves to play them when he gets a chance. this morning at breakfast, after a thoughtful pause: "mom?" me: hmmm? carson: "shikes (sharks) aye (are) AW-SUM animals!" me: [surprised laughter.] yep. carson: "yes. and scay-ee (scary). aw-sum AND scay-ee!" good to know.

layla: loves to type her name on the computer, still working on using the potty (she's not consistent, but neither am i), talks a mile a minute about, to her, the most important things in the world. like who got the blue cup and who got a green fork at dinner, and where daddy's chair is so he can sit there. mischevious little bug.

that's about it. not a lot to interest the general public, not even a silly pic...sorry. maybe next time. must run.

LOL on kathy's comment. Love the recap. Sounds like good times. So what is up with Paul driving to Ogden? whuuuut? I still get a kick out of hearing about Carson's little comments here and there. What a character.
