date night

Paul's out of town fishing this weekend, so I went with my next best guy to the rodeo Friday night. He was suuuuuuuper excited and had been asking to go for weeks. We caught the CVTD from the transit center, natch.
Carse chose the tippy-toppest seats. Wanted a good view for his first rodeo.
He loved it. Wants to sign up for the kids mutton bustin' next year because it reminds him of how he wrestles with Charlie. Did not like the calf roping at first--he hates when animals are hurt or treated badly--but then he saw the calves get up and run out after they were untied, so he got over it.
What a great date night with my boy. He even wanted to hold my hand walking through the fairgrounds. That won't last forever. Love this kid.

My niece Anna did mutton bustin' last year at the Clark County fair in Logandale, NV and she won some serious money. It cost $15 to register but she walked away with like $50 after two rounds. She placed second in the first round and 7th in the second against both boys and girls. She was the highest scoring girl. She was 6 at the time. I think the youngest you can be is 4. Thinking about signing Ezra up. It's awesome to watch.

The kid who won rode backyards. I think that gave him an advantage and shouldn't have been allowed but the judges let him so maybe your son can do that too. Practice on your dog.
