Addie: [exasperated, complete with eye-rolling] No, mom. I didn't went der. I DOED der.
[pause]
Paul, to me: Did she just correct you from "went" to "goed"?
Me: *nod*
Paul: I can't believe you didn't know that already. And you claim you have an English degree...
Is there a parenting award for deferring to a 3-year-old's take on the English language? Because now I'm scared to ever use the word "went" in a sentence again...
